Especially requests with professional-looking expressions like "Google Ads Representative - Mehmet Kaya" in the name, but with no official connection to Google, require extreme caution.

Here is an example of the fake link request our customers receive:

mehmet@gadstemsilci.com wants to link your Google Ads account [X Customer (111-111-1111)] to the following manager account.

Manager Account Name: Google Ads Representative - Mehmet Kaya

Manager Customer ID: 505-473-9849

Although such requests may appear to be sent by Google, they are actually attempts by malicious individuals to gain access to your account. If you accept the link request, these individuals can:

• View all your campaigns,
• Change your budgets,
• Pause or disrupt your active campaigns,
• Use your data.

How can you protect yourself from such frauds?

1. Do not directly approve any link requests. Do you know the sender of the request? Is the email address corporate?
2. Check the email addresses. For example, extensions like mehmet@gadstemsilci.com are not owned by Google.
3. Official Google accounts end only with @google.com extension.
4. If you have a Google Ads manager, do not accept any link requests without consulting them.
