Corporate Email Setup - Outlook for All Platforms

File > Account Settings > Select Manual setup or additional server types then click Next button.

In the incoming window, enter your own information and the login information given to you by our company.

For Account Type in Server Information, you can choose between two types: IMAP / POP3. If you choose IMAP, you should write "imap.yandex.com.tr" for the incoming mail server, if you choose POP3, you should write "pop.yandex.com.tr". Write stmp.yandex.com.tr for the outgoing mail server. Enter your email address and password for login information. When all your processes are finished, click on the More Settings button on the right side.

In the Internet Email Settings section, click on the outgoing server and check the box for "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and click on the Advanced tab.

In the Advanced section, the Incoming server (IMAP) should be 993 and in the Encrypted connection type below, select SSL.

The Outgoing server (SMTP) should be 465 and in the Encrypted connection type below, select SSL.

Then click OK.

Yandex Mail Forwarding

If you are using two email accounts at the same time but want to read emails from both accounts in one place, set up email forwarding from one mailbox to another:

First, log in to mail.yandex.com.tr. Then click on the gear icon in the top right corner.

Click on the email filtering link in the left panel. Click on the Create filter button in the window that opens.

After activating the Redirect to this address icon in the photo, write the email address you want to redirect to in the box next to it. After clicking on the Create filter button at the bottom, the process is complete.

After all these steps, an email will be sent to the redirected email address for confirmation. Once you confirm the email, the forwarding process will be completed.

Outlook Backup and Restore

Yandex, one of Russia's most successful technology companies, is rapidly isolating itself from the West due to the Ukraine war, losing one by one the Western technology companies it collaborates with. The dramatic declines on the Moscow Stock Exchange due to the war are also eroding Yandex's value. The company has lost 75% of its market value in the last 6 months, most of it in the last few days. A possible interruption in Yandex mail services will put Yandex mail users in Turkey in a difficult situation. To avoid mail loss, it is strongly recommended that you back up your emails and perform the following procedure to access your old backups in case of changing mail services.

Whether you have a personal or corporate Yandex mail account, the Yandex service supports IMAP and POP3. So how does this help us? We cannot directly export Yandex email backups to an external source. The easiest way for mail export is to use Microsoft Office Outlook (Outlook Client).

By using the import/export tool within Outlook, you can save incoming and outgoing folders along with other custom folders containing email messages as a file. This way, you can back up and restore emails through Outlook.

How to Backup Outlook?

To back up your email messages and folders:

Open and click on Export:

Check Save to File and click Next:

Step 5 - Outlook Data

Select Outlook Data File (.pst) and click Next:

Step 6 - Include Subfolders

Select your email account, check Include subfolders to include all account and folder data in the backup file, then click Next:

Step 7 - Process Completed

Optionally, after specifying the location, name, and export options for the backup file, click Finish, and the backup file will be saved in the specified folder:

Restoring Emails and Messages

To restore the created backup file to Outlook program: Step 1 - File

Click on the File menu:

Check Import from another program or file and click Next:
